The problem

Our approach
VectorMatch continuously ingests job postings from native ATS APIs, normalizes them into a unified schema, and runs each one through a 3-Gate matching funnel against your developer profile. The result is a ranked list of jobs where your skillset genuinely overlaps — with LLM reasoning explaining why.

The 3-Gate matching funnel
Every job passes through three independent gates before it reaches your dashboard. Each gate filters more aggressively, so only the strongest matches survive.
GIN Index Overlap
PostgreSQL GIN indexes intersect your must-have tags with job requirements. If your React + TypeScript + Node stack doesn't overlap with the job's must-haves, it's filtered out in under 20ms.
HNSW Vector Similarity
Your persona embedding (built from your CV) is compared against the job's normalized text embedding using HNSW cosine distance. This catches semantic matches that keyword overlap misses.
LLM Arbitration
GPT-4o evaluates the top candidates from Gate 2, producing a confidence score, reasoning, and a list of potential blockers. This is where nuanced fit decisions happen.
